Description
A flavorful and healthy dish made with fresh swordfish steaks, marinated in a zesty blend of lemon, garlic, and herbs. Perfect for grilling or baking, this easy-to-follow recipe brings the taste of the sea to your table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 swordfish steaks (about 6–8 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional : Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry the swordfish steaks. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Grill or pan-sear the swordfish for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). The fish should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
- Transfer the swordfish to a serving platter, garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh, sustainably sourced swordfish.
- Swordfish pairs beautifully with roasted vegetables, salads, or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
